Pregnancy Yoga
Enjoy 75 minutes of “Me Time” with a group of other wonderful ladies who are currently going through this amazing time too.  In the class we usually start off with a chat to see how everyone is doing and it gives the opportunity to ask questions from me and the other ladies in the room.
 
We then do a centering relaxing meditation to bring us in to the room and leaving the day behind.  When we’re in the zone, we may do some breathing exercises before starting our gently yoga exercises.  These exercises are suitable for everyone.  We will stretch and tone the muscles making room for you and your baby, in your body.  We will also work the pelvic floor area.
 
At the end of the class, we may do some EFT Tapping for any anxieties that you may have about the pregnancy or birth.  We will then end the class with a relaxing Yoga Nidra so you can float home !

Pregnancy Reflexology
Pregnancy Reflexology is a safe and specialised form of Reflexology which is wonderfully relaxing and suitable from 12 weeks onwards.  It gently brings balance to the whole body by manipulating and massaging the reflex and accupressure points on the feet, in a safe way.  It will help ease a lot of the minor symptoms associated with pregnancy such as nausea, sciatica, aches and pains etc. and prepares the body for giving birth.

So, what is included in these Pregnancy Yoga Classes ?
First of all, you are going to enjoy 75 minutes of blissful Me Time !  We will start off by having a chat about different pregnancy topics before doing some centering.  Centering allows us to completely quieten our minds,  see how we feel in the present moment and to set an intention for the day’s practice.  This will add focus to the yoga practice.  We may also do some EFT Tapping to help reduce stress and anxiety.
 
Next we will draw our attention to our breath.  During pregnancy, you are now breathing for two so the oxygen needs of the baby need to be met.  As we go through the course of our classes, you will learn a number of breathing practices which will support you during your pregnancy and also for the first and second stages of the birth of your baby.
 
After our breath work, we will start moving gently into our yoga postures, working to strengthen our joints and our muscles, strengthening the pelvic floor and making a nurturing and comfortable space in your body, for you and your baby.
 
We will complete our practice with a deep and relaxing Yoga Nidra.
