Emotional Freedom Technique, is also known as Emotional Acupuncture (i.e. Acupuncture without the needles). It is a wonderfully simple and fast acting technique which helps to gently remove the negative emotional charge attached to physical and emotional issues. It helps to process emotions more quickly. It has been adopted by the US military for the treatment of PTSD and is used by the NHS in the UK.
When someone attends for EFT, they are looking to reduce stress, anxiety, an addiction, limiting beliefs, a trauma or anything that may be causing them to feel distressed. It may also help with physical symptoms such as pain.
Our bodies have these energy lines called meridians which run up and down our body. When any of these lines get blocked due to a physical or emotional trauma which isn’t cleared, a physical dis-ease may be created in the body.
Through the process of tapping, we are re-wiring the brain to have new beliefs, emotional patterns, physical habits and perceptions. It helps us to discover what is living underneath our pain, and then helps in releasing it.
So, what can Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) help with ?

Currently I am completing my 50 hours of practice hours to be certified as an EFT Practitioner with EFTi International .
So, what happens during a treatment session ?
During this amazing treatment, you are guided every step of the way. There are a number of techniques which I will use during a session which are tailored to you to meet you where you are at.
We start the session with a chat to see what is going on with you at this moment in time and we determine the intensity of any emotion which needs to be discharged. From there, I devise a Set Up Statement based on our chat, which we use and repeat whilst tapping on acupressure points around the body, mainly around the head, face, chest area, under the arms and in very traumatic situation we will also tap on the fingers.
After each round of tapping we check the intensity of the emotion being worked on and you get to see how effectively tapping will reduce this for you.
You may find yourself yawning as energy starts shifting as it is being released.
When the session is over, you feel calm !
