Emotional Freedom Technique, is an effective, calming and gentle technique which is also known as Emotional Acupuncture (i.e. Acupuncture without the needles).
It is a wonderfully simple and fast acting technique which helps to gently remove the negative emotional charge attached to physical and emotional issues. It has been adopted by the US military for the treatment of PTSD and is used by the NHS in the UK.

When someone attends for EFT, they are looking to reduce stress, anxiety, an addiction, limiting beliefs, a trauma or anything that may be causing them to feel distressed. It may also help with physical symptoms such as pain.

Through the process of tapping, we are re-wiring the brain to have new beliefs, emotional patterns, physical habits and perceptions.
It helps us to discover what is living underneath our pain, and then helps in releasing it.

So, what do we do ?

During this amazing treatment, you are guided every step of the way.
There are a number of techniques which I will use during a session which are tailored to you to meet you where you are at.

We start the session with a chat to see what is going on with you at this moment in time and we determine the intensity of any emotion which needs to be discharged. From there, I devise a Set Up Statement based on our chat, which we use and repeat whilst gently tapping on acupressure points around the body, mainly the head, face, chest area, under the arms and fingers. While we tap, we also pay mindful attention to the negative thoughts and feelings.

After each round of tapping we check the intensity of the emotion being worked on and you get to see how effectively tapping will reduce this for you.

You may find yourself yawning as energy starts shifting as it is being released.

When the session is over, you feel calm !
